Save Money and the Environment Using Solar Pumps

A Solar Pump is run by solar energy. Since drawing water from a depth to the surface is strenuous activity for any device, a huge amount of energy is required. Whether it is run by electricity produced by thermal power plants or run by diesel, water pumps consume a lot of fossil fuel. This creates pressure on the naturally resources and the monetary resources of the user. Using a solar pump is both cost-effective and eco-friendly. There is a common belief that alternative sources of energy cannot produce results as effective as the conventional sources of energy. But this is wrong in case of a Solar Pumps.

A Solar Pump is not only sufficient for domestic purposes but also capable of drawing water required for irrigational purposes. A 1000 Wp solar pump can draw as much as 40,000 liters of water a day from a depth of as much as 10 meters. This amount of water is sufficient to irrigate a field of about 2 acres in area. A solar pump can be attached to a drip-irrigation system which can save the amount of water required for irrigation, thus making it even more sustainable and cost-effective.
